Data-Layer Interoperability Checker
Can you make identity fragmentation visible enough that a marketer sees it without a data engineer explaining it?
Lets a marketer describe their stack (CDP, ad platforms, analytics, CRM + which identifiers each uses) and get back an Identity Fragmentation Score plus specific flags, with a visual node/edge graph showing where data is actually siloed.
Problem statement
Marketing teams run a CDP plus multiple ad platforms plus analytics plus CRM, and identity resolution gaps / duplicate tracking / orphaned data accumulate invisibly. No cheap way to see the fragmentation without an expensive formal audit.
Market and TAM
Not sized — thought-leadership/consulting-credibility artifact, same category as the Agent-Readiness Scanner.
Alternatives (how people solve this today)
Formal data audits (expensive, consultant-led) or nothing at all — most teams don't know their fragmentation level until something breaks (attribution mismatch, duplicate sends).
GTM angle
Pairs well with the harmonized-data-layer content thread already planned; publish alongside or as a follow-up piece with real (anonymized) example stacks.
How it works
Interactive stack builder (add tools by category, check which identifiers each uses) → live-computed 0-100 fragmentation score + rules-based flags (isolated tools, no identity owner, split clusters) + pure-SVG node/edge graph. 3 pre-seeded example stacks (Lean E-commerce, Enterprise w/ CDP, SaaS/No Owner) — scoring algorithm was actually run standalone against all 3 and confirmed sane (0/29/37).
Riskiest assumption
That the rules-based flags (not a real integration) feel credible enough to a marketer describing their own stack — self-report tools live or die on whether the output feels "right" to the user.
Open questions
Worth a v2 that connects to real tools via OAuth to auto-detect the stack instead of manual entry? Real scope increase, not v1.
